Sleep Better, Feel Better
When was the last time you woke up feeling truly rested?
In our busy, always-on world, sleep is often the first thing we sacrifice—yet it’s one of the most powerful pillars of wellness. Poor sleep doesn’t just make us groggy—it affects our mood, memory, metabolism, hormones, and even immunity.
Enter: Sleep hygiene. 🧼💤
Think of sleep hygiene as your bedtime routine’s cleaner, calmer cousin. It’s all about creating the right environment and habits to support restorative sleep.
Why Sleep Hygiene Matters:
Boosts mental clarity and reduces anxiety
Supports hormonal balance—especially key during menopause and perimenopause
Improves muscle recovery and physical performance
Strengthens your immune system and overall resilience
5 Ways to Improve Your Sleep Hygiene Tonight:
🌙 Stick to a schedule.
Go to bed and wake up at the same time—even on weekends. Your body craves rhythm.
📵 Power down early.
Shut off screens 60 minutes before bed. Blue light disrupts melatonin, your natural sleep hormone.
🌡️ Cool it down.
Set your bedroom temp between 60-67°F. A cool room mimics your body’s natural drop in temperature as it prepares for sleep.
💡 Dim the lights.
Use soft, warm lighting in the evening. Bonus: try a Himalayan salt lamp or amber bulbs to signal “wind down” mode.
📖 Create a wind-down ritual.
Read, journal, stretch, or do a 5-minute breathing exercise. Even 2 minutes of mindfulness can calm your nervous system.
Try This Tonight:
Light a lavender candle, take 5 deep belly breaths, and ask yourself: What does my body need right now? Then give it the rest it deserves.
✨ Sleep is self-care. Prioritize it like your health depends on it—because it does.
